Standard Coverage Includes:
- Business Property - Your business property is covered against direct physical loss
or damage (subject to the terms, conditions and exclusions of the policy). This
includes replacement cost on buildings and business personal property. Various deductible
options are available.
- Loss of Income - Your income is covered from direct physical loss or damage to business
property. Coverage is provided for Business Interruption and Extra Expenses.
- Comprehensive Business Liability - Provides coverage for bodily injury and property
damage that you become legally obligated to pay in connection with your self storage
operations. This includes products, new construction, personal and advertising injury.
- Premises Medical Payments - Covers you against claims for medical expenses arising
from accidents on your premises.
- Hired (Auto You Rent) and Non-Owned Automobile Liability - Provides coverage against
liability claims arising out of the use of a hired (auto you rent) or a non-owned
auto used in the course of your self storage business by you or your employees.
- Electronic Data Processing Equipment Protection - insures against direct physical
loss or damage to electronic data processing equipment and components, including
property which is owned, leased, rented or under the care, custody or control of
the insured and for which the insured may be held liable.
- Sale and Disposal Legal Liability - Broad-form coverage is also available for claims
against negligent acts that arise from the sale, removal or disposition of customers'
property when reclaiming rented space for which rental or other charges are delinquent
or unpaid, subject to a $1000 deductible.
Available Optional Coverage:
- Employee Dishonesty - Provides coverage for your monetary or other business personal
property loss incurred by you as a result of the dishonest or fraudulent acts of
an employee, subject to a $250 minimum deductible.
- Customers' Goods Legal Liability - Coverage is available against loss or damage
to your customers' personal property, if you are legally liable.
- Builder's Risk (Building in Course of Construction) - Coverage provides for property
(building materials, equipment, etc.) which is or will be part of the completed
building. This can be added to the facility's policy and includes new buildings
as well as additions to existing buildings.
